Known from several left bank affluents of the middle Congo River basin, including the Kasai drainage near Bandundu, the Lokoro River (Mai Ndombe tributary), the Ruki River basin (including the Tshuapa and Momboyo) and the lower Lomami River (Ref. 91032). Type locality of the holotype of Aphyosemion pseudoelegans: 'Democratic Republic of Congo, Equateur Province, Tshuapa Basin, Boende' (Ref. 91032). |
